The toddler program is based on the idea that play is the child’s work. There is a predictable
routine to a toddler’s day, which includes plenty of time for play and exploration.
Toddlers initiate and direct the play while the adults help them expand their activities.
Children are becoming more social at this stage of development, and teachers blend support
and gentle guidance in the important task of acquiring social skills.
As the toddler’s interests expand so do the activities offered. Among many other activities, you
may find the children finger-painting, gluing, looking at books, dancing, singing, building with
blocks, using snap beads, peg boards, puzzles and puppets or playing with water in the sensory table.
The toddler’s learning areas are focused on dramatic play, mathematics, creative arts, language,
and sensory exploration. We offer daily group activities that help boost your child's social skills,
as well as age-appropriate activities and materials that develop confidence, self-esteem, and a
love of learning. Parents are provided with daily teacher-family communication, including daily
updates to keep you informed.
